Starcraft II delayed: Fans threaten to play Dawn of War II instead

Today the Real-Time Strategy (RTS) gaming landscape (or shall we say, terrain) was shaken, with die-hard fans of Blizzard’s Starcraft franchise protesting the delay of Starcraft II’s release until 2010.

As one of the most anticipated games of the 2000s, alongside sister game Diablo III, the news of Starcraft II’s delay has not been well-received by the gaming community.

“We wait 10 year for Starcraft II. Eleven year too long!” Korean Starcraft player ‘Tapsum-bong’ said.

In order to make a gross political statement against the delay, a small group of RTS gamers have banded together and formed a Facebook group named ‘If 100,000 people join this group I will boycott Starcraft II’.

The daring move has not alarmed the team at Blizzard Entertainment which is already set for life through their very own ‘Chinese gold farmer’, more commonly known as MMORPG World of Warcraft.

A spokesperson for Blizzard’s janitor, who allegedly commutes to and from work in a limousine, has declined to comment on the company’s revenue generating ability.

Some fans have public announced they will be permanently joining the Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War II playerbase and have been labelled as “silly”, “childish” and “downright ****ing retarded” as a result of their actions.
